About the Lodge

The hotel building has 20 rooms, 10 on the first floor and 10 on the second floor. Rooms have either a King sized bed or two full sized beds. Guests enter from the rear parking lot directly into their own unit. The rear entrance to the unit opens to a private patio or balcony overlooking the magnificent gardens and stunning views of Lake Superior.

The condo building has 6 condo units at ground floor level. Our one and two bedrooms condos feature a full kitchen, living room and access to a spacious veranda overlooking Lake Superior. The lower level of the condo building is also at ground level and has four additional hotel rooms, each looking out toward the lake and our lakeside walk through garden

The third building once contained the housing of the original owners of the property, (formerly known as the Winfield Inn) and has been remodeled into a sandwich shop (Cafe Claudia), gift shop, and gallery. Cook a pizza and take back to your room with pop, chips and other treats. Originally built in 1976 and currently undergoing  a major face-lift, guests will find themselves warmly welcomed.

Hauser's Superior View Farm

The unique climate of the Bayfield Wisconsin peninsula attracts visitors to the many family-owned orchards and berry farms. Each year at Apple Fest (the first Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October) the region celebrates the fall harvest, the stunning fall colors, and the famed crisp delicious apples.

No place is this more evident than at the five-generation Hauser's Superior View Farm. Hauser's is open from May to October, 10 to 5 daily, and celebrates the end of the season with a bang. They offer parking and a shuttle to the downtown activities during Apple Fest -Hauser's also has hay rides, pony rides, their famed pulled pork sandwiches, cider sampling, gifts, Apfelhaus Cidery hard cider, and plenty of apples to bring home for the family.

Established in 1908, Hauser's is perhaps best known for its iconic 1928 Sears and Roebuck Mail order barn. The Red Barn, in addition to the spectacular view from 600 feet above the lake shore, houses the Red Barn Store. It hosts the annual Red Barn plant sale, summer berry season sales, end-of-season cider, and apple sales. The store always has unique gifts, jams, jellies, apple butter, soaps, candles, and items you won't want to leave town without.

Reviews

Such a gem for the Bayfield community. We have stayed here for the last 6 years, and the improvements they have made just this year are remarkable. We highly recommend and will be back.

First of all the price was great compared to every other place in Bayfield. The rooms were clean and fresh, looked like they had just been remodeled! HUGE TV, loved streaming service option.
